Our cotton lifting straps are sewn from cotton webbing in the Oath and Oak Global factory for gym, bodybuilding and online brands that need a strap customers use every training day.
They are lasso-style straps: a wrist loop sewn into one end of a cotton webbing strip, with a long tail that wraps the bar one or more times.
Cotton is the most common strap material because it holds the bar well even when hands sweat, feels soft on the skin and breaks in quickly.
| Specification | Options |

| Length | About 18 to 24 inches |
| Width | About 1.5 inches |
| Wrist loop | Fixed loop sized for most adult wrists |
| Padding | None, or a neoprene pad on the wrist loop |
| Grip | Plain webbing or silicone strips on the tail |
| Stitching | Box stitch or bar tack at the loop |
Plain cotton webbing with a sewn wrist loop and a long tail, the simplest strap to launch and reorder.
A neoprene pad under the wrist loop adds comfort on long pulling sessions and high-rep back days.
Silicone strips printed along the tail add friction against the bar and give the strap a branded look.
Two layers of cotton sewn together for a thicker, firmer tail that brands sell for heavier pulls.
In the Oath and Oak factory, the wrist loop is folded back on the webbing and box stitched, and that stitch block carries the full pull, so it uses dense, bonded thread.
Tail ends are folded and sewn to stop fraying, and padding is added once the main stitching is done. Other webbing and leather options sit in our lifting straps range.

Pairs are folded into a polybag or a header card bag that hangs on retail hooks, a format that suits gym shops and supplement stores.
UPC or FNSKU labels are applied at packing, and master cartons hold a fixed number of pairs for easy reordering.
Longer tails wrap the bar more times for a firmer hold, while shorter tails are quicker to set up.
Heavier cotton feels more substantial and lasts longer, while lighter webbing is softer and costs less to ship.
Start with black and two brand colors, then add more once sales data shows which colors move.
The sample confirms tail length, softness, loop fit and how the logo holds up once the strap has been wrapped and chalked a few times.
Production sews every pair to the approved sample and checks each lot against it. New designs follow our product development process.
Alongside our standard quality control process, every lot is checked for:
Both use the same cotton strap, and the difference is a neoprene pad around the wrist loop.
| Feature | Padded | Unpadded |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort | Cushions the wrist on long sessions | Can feel harder on bare wrists |
| Feel on the bar | Slightly more give | Direct, firm connection |
| Build | Extra seams around the pad | Fewer seams, simpler build |
| Overhead work | Pad can press on the back of the wrist | Stays slim |
| Retail price | Higher | Lower |
Padded lifting straps suit most gym customers, while unpadded straps suit experienced lifters who want a direct feel.
MOQ and timing depend on the webbing, any padding, the logo method and packaging, and both are set out in your Oath and Oak quote.
Lasso lifting straps are usually a brand’s first grip product, so send your colors, padding choice and artwork through the form. We ship finished pairs by air freight or sea freight.

Cotton can wear faster under extreme loads, but stitching matters as much as fabric. Well-sewn cotton straps last a long time, which is why the loop seam is one of our standard checks.
Rinse them by hand in cool water and let them air dry flat. Keeping them out of the dryer protects the webbing from shrinking and keeps printed logos sharp.
Yes. They are soft, forgiving and affordable, which makes them an easy first strap. Many brands add a short note that straps are for heavy sets, so customers keep training their grip.
Yes. A shorter tail and a smaller wrist loop suit smaller hands, and brands often release them in their own colorway as part of a women’s range.
Yes. Most brands print or label both straps in the pair so the logo shows on either hand. A woven label on the loop and a print on the tail can also be combined.
